Take the train to Brusio, then continue with the PostBus to Viano. IMPORTANT: Reservations are required at least one hour in advance (the earlier you book, the better to secure your seat). Book via the SBB app or www.sbb.ch

For an additional CHF 10, the PostBus also reaches Piaz. Reservations can be made by calling 0041 81 844 10 42. From there, the Alpe is about a 25-minute walk away.

By Car

From the village of Brusio, at the bottom of the valley, take the mountain road to Viano. Pass through Viano and follow the signs for “Monti Sponda Sinistra – S. Romerio“. From the Viano bus stop, follow the yellow signs directing you to San Romerio.

After Viano, continue on a gravel road until you reach the free parking area at Piaz Natural Park. Piaz offers parking for about 20 cars. From there, continue on foot to reach the Alpe.

The Final Stretch on Foot

  • From Piaz parking: 25 – 30 Minutes
  • From Viano: 2 hours, an easy and wide trail with a gentle incline
  • From Miralago: two options – both take 2.5 hours (a steep trail ascending above Lake Poschiavo or a flatter route via Garbela-Selvaplana)
  • From Brusio: 2 ¾ hours
  • From Le Prese: 3.5 hours
  • From Poschiavo: 4.5 hours
