The refuge was built around 200 years ago and has been renovated in several stages.

It offers space for 35 guests. Besides designing and furnishing the rooms and the large hall, an environmentally friendly installation for water and energy supply was a particular challenge. Solar panels on the roof and a turbine using unused water generate the necessary electricity. Drinking water comes from a mountain spring and is regularly tested by the cantonal health authority. This allows us to minimize the use of polluting energy sources, and the refuge operates almost entirely autonomously.

Cancellation Policy

For last-minute cancellations of reserved rooms/beds, the following charges apply:

  • 7-3 days before arrival: 75% of the total amount
  • 2-0 days before arrival or “no show”: The full amount (minimum CHF 50.00).

Million Stars Room: Cancellation deadline is 14 days before arrival. After that, the full booking amount will be charged.

This room is located in a special energy spot, about a 5-minute walk above the Alpe, surrounded by forest. Built with natural materials such as stone and wood, it features a composting toilet next to it. The double bed, made of Swiss stone pine, can easily be moved outside onto the large terrace thanks to its four wheels. Outdoor blankets will keep you warm during breezy nights while you enjoy the breathtaking view. If you prefer, you can close the doors and stay inside. In the morning, the sun will warm you, and breakfast will be served at the refuge.

Room amenities: 1 double bed (200×170 cm), slippers, wool blankets. The room was lovingly built in 2021.

The traditional Crot of Valposchiavo is a round, cave-like structure built with dry stone walls. Used for storing fresh products, one of these Crot was built by Gino and his son Gioele in 2014.

Our double room is on the first floor and has a double bed (1.60 m) made of Swiss stone pine. Warm wool blankets and an alpine view from the south-facing window make every morning special.

In honor of shepherd Toni, this small room with a bunk bed is ideal for one or two people.

It offers a view of Mount Cornasc and breathtaking sunsets.
